THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE BONUS If enough of us wanted something different, then we would have it; but just what does it take to help build that initial desire? We know this new evolving trading system has got to start somewhere and as with the first few weeks of spring, when the early flowers look rather lonely; we realise that in the early stages of XAT, there are naturally going to be fewer members trading than there will be further on. While people deciding to join later are guaranteed the benefit of having a large number to trade with, those at the beginning might need some other incentive to get them to take part. Since XAT cannot count on rich sponsors and doesn't ask for donations, there has to be another way to provide for the running expenses and advertising which is needed to make XAT a workable alternative. With the text of XAT being available free from the net and trading accounts being free for the asking, we need something special in the XAT spirit to help maintain this futuristic idea. This is what has been developed so far. XAT has and will continue to be released in separate printed book editions. With the release of each new edition, up to and including edition 21, we are adding £1,000 worth of XAT Global Credits to anyone holding a Bonus Account. To get a Bonus Account, you need to order the latest XAT edition for two of your friends, which we will post to them at a total cost of £7. In this way we not only provide funding for XAT, but we also help to publicise it and even without the bonus payments, we hope you'll agree, the concept of passing on some good ideas is in itself a rewarding thing to do. The film 'Pay it Forward' shows us just how important such a practice can potentially be, and it is with this spirit that it is hoped the XAT bonus scheme will continue work. Members who got their bonus accounts during the publication of XAT1 have now gained an advantage of securing for themselves a payout of £1,000 with every new edition, adding up to a total of £20,000 worth of credits by the time the final bonus edition (XAT21) comes out. Most of us are aware of how quickly numbers can increase simply by doubling up ('Who Wants to be a Millionaire' is a particularly good example). At the point at which we reach XAT21 we feel the numbers will be large enough to encourage people to join in, without there needing to be any further bonus account incentive. The idea is, the higher the edition being supplied when you join, the less bonus you earn, which is meant to encourage people to join early. As new editions come out the bonus level goes down, regardless of which edition you are reading, making this a very workable limited offer. It's a plan to reward foresight. Being that only a small number of bonus accounts are available, only a certain number of people are able to be involved in the Bonus Plan, and the amount they will receive is not too much yet still worthy of their investment. Opening a Bonus Account is a great way to help support this project, however we should not detract from the other ways in which your help is hugely appreciated. AGREE TO HEAD IN A GOOD DIRECTION While there are many details which need to be ironed out (and indeed this is what the decision making process is for), it is important that we all agree on the general direction we want to head in. We must also understand, as clearly as possible, what we are leaving behind. If we can truly learn from our mistakes, we might avoid repeating them. It is also important for us not to dismiss the past completely, as our experience provides a rich reserve which has brought us to contemplate a new and better world. We have seen how Colonial Script and the Greenback Dollar principals could form the basis for an interest-free people's bank, doing away with the need for taxation. So also within the spirit which formed the American ideal we can see a genuine desire which was expressed to make a fresh start in creating a fairer world free of oppression. Much of the inspiration bound in the original Declaration of Independence has remained in the parchment and is now locked in a glass case to be viewed but not taken seriously. Even the "all men are created equal" bit many of us are familiar with, has only recently been understood to include women and black people. Still there is something beautiful about these thoughtful people focusing on a document that would define the direction of millions, so in this spirit, borrowing from their form, we present for your approval: THE PEOPLE'S DECLARATION of FREEDOM When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for people as individuals to cut themselves off from systems which are denying them a proper and fair share of the world they have been born in and is their inherited right, in order to claim an equal portion in the earth and an equal right in the gifts of nature and of the sharing Spirit of Life, it is only right out of respect for all of mankind that they should declare what has led them to this decision so that any who agree in a fairer way can join them. We hold these truths to be obvious: That all human beings are created equal and that all persons are naturally entitled to certain rights, among these being the right to live freely to pursue the fulfiling of dreams which can bring happiness, while not preventing others from doing likewise. That to secure these basic rights, governments are set up which rely on the consent of the governed for their power. That whenever a government becomes destructive to these ends and fails to bring about a happy and fair state of affairs, it is the right and duty of the people, whose support makes it possible, to abolish it and to replace it with a method which they believe has a better chance of providing safety and happiness for all concerned. Wisdom demands that long standing Governments should not be changed over frivolous or transient causes, and accordingly history has shown us that people are more inclined to suffer while pain is bearable, than they are to rectify their situation by abolishing conventions they are accustomed to. But when governments become exclusive clubs using spin and propaganda to disguise their corruption and domination, producing illusions of democracy or socialism which in reality only serve the rich while enslaving the poor; and when power is repeatedly abused, robbing people of their natural rights, reducing them to choosing between what are essentially dictatorships which share the same restrictive policies, it is the people's right, it is their duty, to free themselves from such governments and provide for themselves a fairer alternative solution for the management of their future World. Humankind has patiently suffered waiting for elected governing bodies to create a fair society with everyone receiving a fair share of our earth's bounty while the governors have lined their pockets securing prize directorships for themselves to retire on, and now having given this imposed method every possible chance and been left wanting, it now becomes necessary to say 'enough is enough'. The vital resources we rely on for life are being systematically destroyed in the name of financial profit. For our survival it becomes necessary to replace this wasteful system of government with a sharing method of maintenance that respects the environment and rewards all of humankind for its co-operation, not just a privileged few. Those entrusted with the preservation of our resources have refused their Assent to Laws, which are most wholesome and necessary for the public good, in favour of laws which protect corporations while they destroy nature in the name of profit. They have failed to properly enforce laws in existence which are of immediate and pressing importance to the survival of life on our planet. They have refused to pass other laws which would prohibit the wholesale destruction of oxygen producing trees and forests and as a result the tearing out of the earths lungs carries on without any threat of prosecution. They have generally failed to recognise the emergency being imposed on our planet by greed driven outdated ideas and have failed to instigate any action to encourage real change in the attitudes which threaten life's existence on the earth. They have failed to provide any protection against the global weather changes occurring as a result of their severe mismanagement of resources and unchecked pollution of the environment. They have spent huge amounts erecting a multitude of New Offices, and sent swarms of Officers to harass people, in the enforcement of laws against victimless crime while allowing the real criminals against nature to roam free unassailed. Have imposed Taxes on us without our Consent. Have used taxpayers money to produce and maintain weapons of mass destruction, the use of which would be abhorrent to any decent thinking person. They have plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, polluted our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people. They at this time continue transporting large Armies to complete the works of death, desolation and tyranny against other fellow human beings, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy of the attitude of a civilised people. In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms with peaceful protests which have spanned the World over several decades. Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. Leaders whose character is marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, are unfit to be the rulers of a free people. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our interdependent life on this planet. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these irresponsible destructive actions which threaten human survival. They have been deaf to the voice of justice and reason. We must, therefore, out of necessity, proclaim our Separation, and hold them, as we would hold those insane, incapable and bent on their own destruction at the risk of everyone else and all life on this planet. We claim back the authority which we vested in them and declare ourselves free to establish real democracy through home rule for everyone concentrating on the use and development of technology which can allow everyone to take part in decision making on issues which concern their welfare and everyday life. We establish our right to a people's bank and the creation of a currency based on the principals of colonial script, to provide in controlled proportion the social services of the people, eliminating the need for taxation and borrowing from central banks. We the peace and life loving people of the Earth, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of This World, solemnly publish and declare, that the People of the Earth ought to be Free and Independent and that all political connection between them and the established government institutions formerly entrusted to maintaining the resources of our planet, is and ought to be totally dissolved. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honour.
